CRITICS! [Owl City's Verge]
Everyone has that moment in where the 'verge' of their lives come to start a new one, and that's what Adam is going for in his latest single, and of course, Aloe Blacc's vocal was an amazing addition to this single. And not to let this moment pass any longer, let's start with Adam's "Verge"'s MV.
The opening song seems so 'path opening' and I get why he uses 'graduation' as a theme of his single.. I mean, cmon guys, we've already had way too much love songs. It's time to put some friendship and different theme in. It wasn't surprising that the MV would be a graduation-themed MV.
LBH, the single's cover looked like flying graduation hat thingy. He even posted a small clip in Insta about how he captured the moment for his single's cover. However, that doesn't mean I will judge him due to his 'direct' clues. I'll be honest if I say that I love artists giving clues for me to guess what the possible MV would be like. And even though this was directly indirect, I still love it.. cos first of all, it's Adam Young. Second, the song is hella amazing. Ok, skip the "how he guves out clues" part. My friend, Elvin, just told me that he loved Fifth Harmony's "Reflection" album, where as I find it an okay album, and I'll be real... I think he's right, I'm being a douchbag by expecting so much stuffs. It's like my standards on music just rose suddenly. But nonetheless, let's get back to the song. First, the song sounds like the combination of his "Shooting Star"'s opening, "Tokyo"'s bridge, and "The Midsummer Station" album style. I'm not saying that he took less effort, but it sounded "Wow" at first, but Hello... Imma Hootowl! So I know every song of yours, and you need to know that most Hootowls knew the music style behind the song. Not being a judgemental dude, but it's a good way to mix it up. (P.S. Love you Adam!!)
Second, one of the best thing about the song is that I didn't see the ending coming at all, and I go all "OMG! Nooooo... continueeeee!!" and now I'm playing it on repeat.
Third, I know most people will say it has the same "Good Time" feels, but no! It has similar styles but Adam put much effort into this one, I can really tell. He uses not only the obvious graduation to explain the song but also metaphorizes the butterfly in the MV as a symbol of "A new adventure awaits"
Lastly, I can tell this MV is an ad for the new HP laptop/tablet thing. Now you make me wanna buy it Adam.
So... what do you think about the MV?

CRITICS! [Taylor's "Bad Blood"]
Taylor is back with a new MV! After a sudden change of genre in "Shake It Off", ruining an expensive vintage car in "Blank Space", and going mysterious with a nostalgic feels in "Style", she's now back with an all new type of MV which was very unexpected from her. Well, it was pretty expected 'cause she posted some teaser pics in Insta, but still.. Let's watch the MV.
From the thumbnail picture, you can definitely tell there's a war going on. I'm not sure about how I feel about this MV, 'cause to me, the music sounds pretty fun, yet the MV looks so irresistibly badass. I'm not sure why Taylor decided to do this, but she has her freedom to express. Still, I'm pretty confused whether I like the MV or not 'cause it's just weird for me to see Taylor evolving from her typical "Juliet" or princess image to the "Katniss" image. But of course, I love the song, it's hella amazing. Yet again, comparing this to the studio version, I think I still love the studio one better. The MV gives a hip-hop atmosphere, and instead of using guys (like what she always does in other videos), she uses a girl image in this video. Probably because she had a good relationship (partnership) with the girl in black, then she suddenly betrays Taylor by kicing her off the window, resulting to grudges and "Bad Blood". Well, that's what I see in the video.
What do you think about the MV?
CRITICS! [Britney Spear ft. Iggy Azalea's "Pretty Girls"]
It's OUT! BRITNEY BITCH is BACK!! And now with Iggy in their new single "Pretty Girls".
The song is pretty fun, and for some reasons, catchy...
The MV came out yesterday, and I must say... It's fun and cosmic indeed.
Iggy looks like the white version of Nicki Minaj. Plus, to weird it up, she's not from Earth. The MV is the "Earth girls are so out of date" like.
And notice it or not, this MV is probably used to promote Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I mean, cmon Britney, changing an old phone to a new smartphone is a sly method to catch attention. And not sure about this, but the song sounds like something that Charlie XCX would sing. I mean, it sounds almost like Charlie's music style.. a bit of fun and rebel.
Anyhow, what do you think about the MV and the song? Write your comments below..

CRITICS! [Selena Gomez ft. Zedd's "I Want You To Know]
Before I begin, "I Want You To Know" the MV is OUT! Watch it now!
Now, this single isn't really gonna last long, nor strong enough to make it addictive. Firstly because the style of the music is "just as expected". I know Zedd could've done better with this, and Selena could've been better in this single. Musically, it sounds pretty experimental, it's like Zedd is trying to get some influence from dubstep music but maintaining his electronic house style. Not a bad thing, and that's what made me interested to listen more, but music itself won't make a strong track. MV-based, I expected more from Selena. Although I know she's been through some hard times, but this isn't as creative as she used to be. The reason this song gets famous is probably because of both artists' popularity, not the song itself, but still worth a listen.
I'm going to look forward what these 2 got for the world.

CRITICS! [Calvin Harris ft. HAIM's "Pray To God"]
From Calvin's album, "Motion", which was released in 31 Oct 2014, the 11th track "Pray To God" was set to be the sixth single which will be released on 9 March 2015... and now the majestic MV for the single-to-be track is available!

The song itself is EDM house in nature, but what really makes me in to it is how not overly done it is. I dunno about HAIM but their vocals are amazing as hell! It's pretty EDM but not all computer-like with a pinch of house styled music and a bit if awesome vocals - an amazing track. However, on the downside, if you listen to the album, most of them have similar styles, which bores me in a matter of short time, but all in all, it's a great album to listen if you wanna dance and chill around.

Have you listened to the album Motion? Try it out!

CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!
Christmas IS FINALLY HERE!!! OK, at least at +7 GMT...
Anyhow, for today's post, I'll be sharing my Top 10 Favourite Christmas Themed MV since 2014, so pre 2014 MVs are probably not included...
First up!
1. Cover of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Idina Menzel and Michael Buble

This MV, a cover of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Idina Menzel and Michael Buble, is my favourite Christmas MV for this year so far, even though it was released a month before Christmas. I STILL FREAKING LOVE IT! Plus, the kids in this MV are just cute, talented, and great dancers. I really need to get some spare time searching who they are.

2. Pentatonix's "Dance of the Plum Sugar Fairy"

If you haven't heard of 'em, you probably dunno much about what they got in store, but seriously, these 5 guys (emm... 1 girl) are damn talented in a cappella in both making covers of songs or even making their own song. This is one of their covers which you can hear in their latest album "That's Christmas To Me".

3. Pentatonix's "Mary Did You Know?"

This is one really Christian song, relating to Mary (Jesus' mother), and the reminder of "did she know that her son was a savior", and literally, I loved this song eventhough I ain't a Christian, I mean, c'mon guys, we need to live in equality man... Religion and races ain't gonna stand us back, anyhow... as I was saying, this is definitely one holy song you might wanna give a listen for Christmas.

4. Band Aid 30's "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
This song was made for donation for the Ebola victims which are trying to survive, I know I might be late in sharing this, and I feel really bad, but at least I managed to share some word about it. Support them to fight Ebola and you might be just one of them who could give them a hand by DOWNLOADING IT!!

5. Fifth Harmony's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" cover

Nope, all I want for Christmas was at least 1 week of holiday, geezz... anyhow, these five beautiful ladies sure made their way into the spotlight, and yes, it is the all famous "All I Want For Christmas Is You" originally by Mariah Carey, but hey, it's still pretty catchy till now.

6. Lady Gaga ft. Tony Bennett's cover of "Winter Wonderland"

Lady Gaga is sure on her sassy side this year, duet alongside with Tony Bennett, starting from her latest album "Cheek to Cheek". She is sure getting into the Christmas spirit, and I have to say, I'm starting to love her sense of fashion even more ever since she sang for the H&M commercial. Give it a listen guys!

7. Owl City's "Kiss Me Babe, It's Christmas Time"

OK, I know this isn't an MV, but I really love this song, not just because it's Owl City's work, but because of how joyous it was. Plus, it brings back the atmosphere of his old works from "Ocean Eyes". Try listening to it guys, "let's fly around the world tonight" as we listen to it together.

8. Little Mix's cover for "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)"

Just like Fifth Harmony, these hot girls sure have some amazing vocals and harmony. Try listening to this cover, you won't regret it! Plus, the MV is so "Girl Night Out" like... it makes me feel happy for some reason by just seeing them being happy, don't you?

9. Pentatonix ft. Tori Kelly's "Winter Wonderland/Don't Worry Be Happy"

If a group of 5 amazing talented dudes for a cappella wasn't enough, try this one out! Tori Kelly sure adds up the jingling vocals. Besides, the more the merrier ain't it??

10. Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me"

OK, first of, this was never suppose to be part of my list, since it wasn't into the Christmas spirit and cheers, instead, this MV was more of a simple dance along to the tune, but I have to say, Ariana sure has some amazing vocals for this song. She might wanna make a video that goes along with it.
