YESS!!!
The moment of the year when you just go around get ang paos is coming. 
Well, I've always loved CNY not for the ang paos. I just like the feeling of reunion. You know, especially being more busy now despite with all the studies I'm going through, I'm even more distant from my family. Well, I've always been a shut in, but I still have a heart for my family too. Plus, I just freaking love playing fireworks, so I'm bound to enjoy playing fireworks with my little cousins when I get back to my kampoeng, and let my inner child go out with no shame. 'Cause let's be honest, your aunts and uncles need one nephew or niece who knows how to get along with kids so they can drink happily and talk about politics and stuffs (Argh... adult stuffs).

And again... complaining about how time flies so god damn fast, like seriously... it feels like last week we set off fireworks for the countdown, and now February is coming up? I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking stuffs. 

And.. the Panic! At The Disco is now a solo band, but that doesn't stop Urie from making this album a huge thing. Well, before we start off, click on play in that Spotify list I prepared for this post.

OK, let's start

So far, Panic! At The Disco has always changed their music style in every album they release, although they still retain their rock style. Anyhow, in this album, it's more on pop rock, pop, and hip hop. And to be honest, for Urie to work on this album on his own, it's amazing. Every track managed to give me goosebumps (in a good way), and I must say, this album might actually save me from my addiction to Troye Sivan's Blue Neighbourhood. It started strong, as expected from Panic! At The Disco. Some songs sound quite opera-pop-rock, like Emperor's New Clothes, which is apparently my favorite from the track list. Other tracks that I would consider "Stuck in my head for quite a while" would be Victorious, Crazy=Genius, and Impossible Year. Victorious is just powerful, in my point of view, and it does shows off Urie's powerful vocals (same goes for Emperor's New Clothes). In Crazy=Genius, Urie shows his humorous side, and I'll be honest, it ain't that bad. Impossible Year just relates to me, and I guess that's why it's one of my favourite.

It will be hard for Urie to keep this up alone, but this album just makes me feel like he might be able to keep this band alive. Keep it up Urie!!

Damn the new album is just amazing.

First off, it's Adele, it's bound to be amazing.
Let's start off with the hit single Hello, it was an amazing single, and pretty emotional at the same time, despite this is probably the first time I listened to Adele singing a song about how she 'mistreated' her ex. It's still amazing, don't get me wrong.

Her other songs, which are pretty unexpected, such as; Send My Love and River Lea, was totally out of my expectation, and I'll be honest, Send My Love has that Taylor Swift feels to it. That sassy and cool atmosphere in it. River Lea, on the other hand, sounds Sia-like, I don't know why.. I just feel like that song would be something Sia sing to. The other tracks sound familiarly new, as if I've heard it somewhere before, but at the same time, I know it's not.

I'm not sure if it's just me or am I the only one who find that the songs are pretty simple in terms of music. Now, there's nothing wrong with being simple, 'cos simplicity is the best sometimes, but in this album, Adele seemed to manage it pretty well effortlessly. Plus, I'm not sure if there's way too much piano ballad in her album, but it still connects one to another like a puzzle getting together. I'm probably still stuck into pop music, which makes me feel as if something is missing from the tracks in her album.

One thing though, this album will not be streamed in Spotify, so this time you guys have to listen to it for yourselves, but if you love ballads, this will definitely be a worthy album.

JB's Purpose, Adele's 25, Ellie's Delirium, Sia's Bird Set Free, Troye's YOUTH, 1D's Made In The A.M., and even another new star, Parson James.

OK, this will be a long short critique, so I'm just gonna prepare all the songs and let you listen on the Spotify list I prepared.

I'm surprised that I have so much to talk about and at the same time so much I've missed. Apparently, I spoke in my first vlog about Demi's Confident, and also how amazing Adele's Hello was. So now, let's start from JB.. YES, I hated his music from Journals, but now, his comeback is amazing, and I would say I love a lot of songs from his album. Each of them seem fresh and new, as if JB just rediscovered himself.
As for Ellie's Delirium, most of the songs are good, but a few are considered catchy for me. However, lyrically, Ellie still manage to send some good messages, although I'm still thinking On My Mind is about Ed Sheeran, though she said it wasn't.
Sia's Bird Set Free.. Ahh... Just as expected from Sia, and amazing powerful track. This will definitely get stuck in my head for a while. She is one of those artists who can give me eargasm. LOL
TROYE RELEASED YOUTH!!! OMG!! I've been playing it on repeat, and it kind of reminded me of Fun from his TRXYE EP. Still, the this track isn't that bad, and damn his vocals are amazing. I can't wait for his album Blue Neighbourhood.

Directioners are probably insane over this album, since it's 1D's first album without Zayn (Sorry if any Zayn fans are reading this and got reminded again). And I hate to say this, but I think they will separate, just like any boybands in the past. I mean, the album is nice, but the moment they said "We're gonna take a break", it's kinda like a subtle way of slowing separating, but who knows they will come back as strong as ever. We'll never know... the future's a mystery and anything goes. The album is great btw. I loved some of the music, it's pretty lively, kinda reminds me of their first album.

And finally, Parson James. This dude has an amazing voice, like seriously, choirs of angels can't beat him (JK). He seem to be one of those rare artists who can bring stories along with his vocals, you know, the "story-telling" style of vocals. It's hard to find someone who has those vocals. Not to mention, his Sinner Like You is like his anthem for gay acceptance.

Phew, that was a long one. Could've been single individual posts, but I'm too lazy to do that. So, BYE!

When leaves don't turn red, and pumpkins don't get makeups in here.. (Yes, Indonesia doesn't have autumn)

I finally get to do my hobbies, and relax in Batam. It was all really worth it though, I had that "sweet victory" kind of feels after I finished my exams. 'Cause this is, by far, the hardest term I had so far, so I was glad that it really ended. It had brought me a lot of experience in terms of both knowledge-wise and business-wise.
And it's November... #NoShaveNovember Even though I don't have a beard. Not to mention, if you guys have been reading through my recent posts, you've probably knew that I had started a Youtube channel for fun, and maybe as another hobby. Most people will think "Hey, you're making videos for money?" when they encounter a famous YouTuber, and I'll be real, it's. Not. JUST MAKING VIDEOS. It's more beyond that, and you'll never know how it feels until you start doing one. Try it.. Get a camera (I use my phone), put it on a position in where you're satisfied with, edit it (this is the worst part but the best one at the same time), render it (this takes forever), upload it. I'm pretty sure it's not as easy as you might've thought. It's not only the video-making session that's hard, but also maintaining a well prepared schedule to make and upload it is also one problem. Lately, I've been missing my videos' schedule, and I know even if there aren't much people who watch it, I still feel bad for myself that I have such bad time-management.

This hobby of mine might actually open myself a bit more and also discovering things I never knew I could've done, and improve stuffs that are considered as my bad habit, like being messy, that's one.

Connor's "A Work In Progress"

I've achieved quite a lot this month. I've finished Connor's "A Work In Progress", learnt how to edit videos (although it probably still suck), finished my exams (Duuh, this is the best feelings). Plus, there's been a lot of amazing songs out lately. JB's "I'll Show You", Galantis's "Peanut Butter Jelly", A Great Big World's "Hold Each Other", Alessia Cara's "Four Pink Walls", and more. But what shocked me most is Justin Bieber. I didn't liked his songs, since the release of "Journals", but now, his songs are just amazing, I don't know why.. the beats are simply good. Not to mention that he's starting to use his vocals better. All in all, I can't wait for his latest album to come out.









Ariana's "Focus", however, disappointed me, but I'm glad that she mentioned that her album will be "nothing like "Focus"", and it better not, 'cause I'm literally sad when I listen to "Focus", it's kinda like the remake of "Problem", with a Fifth Harmony message, a not-so-exciting vocal (but is only good at the "1, 2 ,3.. C'mon girl" part) and addition of a very annoying guy's voice "Focus on me". No, his voice is not bad, but it just doesn't seem to suit the song wholy. The song only got accepted due to her fame. I'm very sad to say that this might be one of the best 'worst' songs I've heard.

AND, WBB (We Bare Bears) IS NOW ON CN!! Well, Indonesia's CN, but still, they're just hilarious and adorable. I'm glad that I knew they existed way before they start airing in Indonesia. Now, I can share my insatiable obsession to my friends. *evil laughs*

Let's start off, Adele's comeback was a huge thing. Her "Hello" had 25M views in just a day after release. The song itself is equally amazing, and I'm seriously hyped for this album of hers, 25.

The MV is pretty vintage, as expected from a soul artist, and this song relates so much to people who wants to go back and meet up with their old ex. Seems pretty cliche, but I still love the song, and how she makes her comeback.

And next, Justin's "Sorry"! I'll be honest when I say that I didn't liked Justin's Journals. However, the moment he releases Where Are U Now and What Do You Mean?, I went insane, and this made me hyped to wait for his upcoming album.

Then we have Ariana's "Focus" looks amazing, and if you haven't listen to the snippet she just gave on Instagram. It's ok, 'cause I'm about to show you the ARI promo video with the "Focus" snippet in it. 

If you're ready come and get it! 'cause Selena has released her latest album "Revival" and TBH, it's really something new from Selena.

This eleven-tracked solo album is more on EDM and pop with a pinch of hip-hop and experimental, while maintaining her true self. The lyrics in the album are darker than her usual songs, and it gives out that mysterious atmosphere. At the same time, the lively music in some tracks like Sober, Same Old Love, Body Heat, and Me and the Rhythm makes you wanna dance to the dark lyrics. (Kinda like Pumped Up Kicks)

Some calming ones, like Camouflage, gives you a break from all that secrets that she has been keeping. This album is indeed "the truth" that Selena has been wanting to share with.

Experimental songs like Revival and Rise lifts spirit with Selena's small speeches.

In the DELUXE edition, there are 5 extra tracks - Me & My Girls, Nobody, Perfect, Outta My Hands, and Cologne - and I'll be honest, they're good, formulaic, but still catchy, ESPECIALLY Outta My Hands (to me).

This album is definitely something you guys should listen to. I prepared the DELUXE edition on my Spotify list. ENJOY!!

AND OCTOBER!! HALLOWEEN!! Can't wait to scare people and be scared. I know some people are afraid of horror related stuffs, so we'll be covering that in my random monthly update.
First off, NASA has discovered water in Mars, proving that the big red might be able to support life. Plus, after the discovery of Earth 2.0.. this year has a lot of scientific updates.
Another thing is, a lot of good music have came out lately, and a lot to expect. Demi, JB, 1D, Selena, and many more.

As for me, I decided to try out something new out of boredom... drum rolls please.

Altho there's no noise I'm starting a YT channel. Just out of pure boredom, bad wifi, unhealthy haze, and curiosity. It was a plan of mine and my friend to make one.. like a year ago or something, but that idea never came to reality. So I decided to give it a try. Plus, there's no harm in trying. The channel will probably consist of covers and vlogs.

And that's my first cover.. sorry for the slightly off tune in the intro, I was adjusting my vocals with my keyboard tunes.

And this rising star is starting to get the attentions he needs. Well, he was famous, but now even more...

This EP may be only 4 tracked, but is amazing enough to make you love him, well, not particularly, but you gotta admit that he has some amazing vocals.

The EP starts off with Gibberish ft. Hoodie Allen, trust me.. THIS SONG IS AMAZING!! Although it was released pretty long ago. Next with Ms. Anonymous, with its marching drum beats and Max's smooth Adam Levine-sque vocals. Moving on with Hotel Confidential, this song has quite some cool beats, and not to mention lyrically sexy. Ending off with a slower song, You're Not That Girl, which has that Bruno Mars feels.

All in all, this EP is an amazing step for MAX to go a step forward to fame, and is definitely worth a listen.Vocally, he sound like the mash up between Bruno Mars and Adam Levine. Musically, this is definitely some sick beats to dance off to.

A year after Ultraviolence, she finally release another dreamy album, Honeymoon.


Now what makes Lana unique is her anti-pop style. In this album, she tries out new style while remain true to her roots. Lyrically still Lana Del Rey-sque, musically, this album gives out a lot of mysterious atmosphere (as expected to Lana Del Rey) with all the willowy whistles and echoes all around each track of the song. All those "Ooooh"s and "Why?"s are just bouncing in my mind right now. Indeed mysterious and cool. Let's admit it, her art styles are majestic and vintage-like, which is something I really like. AND don't make me start on how good "Salvatore" is.. IT'S AMAZING! I CAN'T EVEN!!

Not much to say about the album, but that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a listen. If you've been listening to the radio, I'm pretty sure you've listened to "High By The Beach" a lot, and if you love those type of music, this album is packed with 14 tracks of slow jammed, saxophone and slow strung jazz, sappy willowy vocals, and breathy yet chilly and cool whispers covering the background. I prepared the album on my Spotify list, go give it a listen. "The best things in life are free", unless you count things as Ferrari, villas, and personal island.

I think I am too overjoyed when this came out today.. like, imagine me in my room, just finished my morning class, then suddenly Troye mentioned that WILD is out WORLDWIDE.
This EP consists of six tracks of electropop and dream pop music, with well-sung lyrics.
Starts off with dream pop WILD which is accompanied with trilogy of "Blue Neighbourhood". Continued with one of the darkest songs in the EP, BITE. The song fits really well next to WILD, since WILD speaks about how he realize that loving someone could be so painful yet ecstatic at the same time, while BITE sings about how willing he is to give all of him to his lover, but hope he won't BITE. The story is then continued with FOOLS, which spoke how naive he is to have high hopes. EASE (I think) speaks of how he is starting to feel like he missed his good old days, where he's not far from home. THE QUIET is one of the darkest songs, and it's pretty electropop, singing his dislike for silence treatments after a quarrel (as the title suggested). Finally but not the least, DKLA, with its dark dream electro music, this is probably one of my favorite, and if you're wondering what it stands for. It's Don't Keep Love Around, you're welcome. XD

All in all, I feel that this EP tells a story, but still quite unsure since I only have repeated it for 3 times. Musically, it's pretty 'Troye Sivan'-sque, but what amazes me is his lyrics. They're amazingly written, and I'll have to be honest, he's really mature in terms of his lyrics. I think this EP deserves to get noticed more, and hopefully it gains universal acclaim. Not to mention, this EP seems to show us some of his personalities, which is usually not something an artist wants (sometimes).

September is here, and I'm gonna get some new experiences and fun. Been going around Singapore for quite a while to bring back and improve my photography skills, and practicing some of my hobbies; like singing and keyboard (the instrument). Yea, I think I just had way too many stuffs in my hand. Can't blame me, I get bored easily, and I tend to find new exciting stuffs to do. Starting like the typical newbie, all awkward and dumbfounded, then eventually feel pro because you've done it for so long, but in actuality there are far way better ones than you that makes you feel like crap.

Anyway... since a new month has came, HELLO SEPTEMBER!! Now we're just 4 months away from 2016. Yes, did I just reminded you that it's almost a year now? Good, let's get ready to feel old together.

In terms of music, I've been repeating some of these lately, and if you know me really well, I'm more into the lyrics than the music (unless, it's an ambient, easy listening, classical, or anything lyric-less).
This guy, Michael Angelakos, main vocalist of Passion Pit, born in 1987, made this song with his bandmates. This song is all about his wife (born in 1985), and I find the MV well shot, well, IF you're willing to dig back into his old works. Anyhow, ain't gonna spoil the meaning behind the MV.


Of course, if you loved Robin Thicke, I'm pretty sure this one is gonna make you hit that repeat button.
And let's be real, Nicki shows that she has some self control in this MV. I mean, look at that sassy "Na-ah, you ain't gonna get this" code.

AND THIS! I've been repeating this guys' works for 2 months.
I'm amazed by Olly Alexander's indietronic vocals, it sounds beautiful. One thing I love about their album Communion is that the themes are cliche - breakups, falling in love, loneliness - but his vocals, beats, and lyrics manage to make a different sound to it. I'll share the album on my Spotify list on the top right.

FINALLY, but not the least, I'm pretty sure you crazy Youtube fans are probably waiting for #WILD
I'll be honest, I've been repeating his teaser (16 seconds teaser) for hours.
The guy who made all the teasers is just AMAZING! I mean seriously, THEY ALL LOOK GOOD!

Sounds familiar? Yes, it's from the hit song "1, 2, 3, 4" by Plain White T's, and they're back with a new album, American Nights. It was released on March 31, 2015 (I'm kinda late on these.. probably 'cause I was diving into Youtube more).

Anyhow, this pop punk band just joined a new recording label due to creativity conflict, and still retaining their usual indie rock side.

In this album, they start of with a alternative punk "American Nights", "Pause", and "Never Working". Then goes off with a indie punk "Heavy Rotation" that simple puts you on repeat with it's light guitar and not-so shout-y vocals.
"Stay" and "You Belong" brings with their indie and sadder lyrics. Then back to some musically and lyrically happy "Dance off Time" with their typical mathematics love "me + you is greater than or = the sum of all the love we knew..."
"Love Again" apparently, (in my opinion) is the happiest sounding song in the album, sounds like a Lenka song, but still, these guys makes the song sound romantic.

And after all that lovey-dovey songs, it's "Time to Move On" and finally with a chill song, "Here Come That Sunrise" to finish off the whole optimistic, lovey-dovey with a pinch of move on album.

All in all, this album sounded amazing, kinda like something you can chill to when you're feeling bad or blank. Totally recommended for alternative, indie, punk, and not-so rock lovers. If you wanna give it a try now. I've put the album on the Spotify list, give it a try! Besides, it's free...

YEA! We all heard the official news that NASA has found second Earth.
The name's Kepler 452B, reason being that the planet was discovered using the Kepler telescope. Not meant to boast or anything, but I knew this was gonna happen. Despite all the discoveries and technology advancement.

This planet has already been discovered years ago, then officially called a planet in 2014, and finally labelled as Earth 2.0 now!

Of course, if you go through Youtube, a lot of videos have mentioned about this planet as one of the top 10 unique planets, despite possessing ability to support life.
This is the last video I watched before knowing this outcome. Pretty surprised that there are so many unique planets out there. Kepler 452B is located around 1400 light years away, meaning it would take 600 years for us to reach there, which is probably one thing our fellow NASA is working on right now, or later, how to allow human transportation from Earth to Kepler 452B.

FREE! My condition right now... well, I just finished my exam, so that does count.
Anyhow, this isn't another post in where I speak about Freedom or such, but instead Cody Simpson's latest independent album "Free".

It was released on 10 July, and TBH, this album wasn't really something I would be hyped about 'cause I'm not really a fan of Cody.
The album is mostly acoustic rock, a bit of reggae. Tracks like "Flower", "New Problem", "Driftwood", "Love Yourself", "Free" are pretty nice. The rest are pretty much good, with honest lyrics and tingly guitar strungs in all the songs. Some manage to get stuck in my head for a while, like "Happy Lil' Hippie", but this album didn't seem to "WOW" me. It's more of a "I saw this one coming after all the singles". The reason I'm saying this is because his singles have painted most of what the album might seem like, and I know some people love to expect what they already knew is coming (I'm sometimes that people).

BUT! This album isn't bad, despite Cody Simpson starting an independent career of his own. So this serves more of a challenge to him, and I'm looking forward to what he might have in store for his listeners.

This album consist of rock (Bird with a Broken Wing), electronic, and country music (Back Home). However, I noticed some of the tracks sounded similar to his previous works (I'm not gonna mention Verge, 'cause I've talked about it before), but that won't make me focus on the other original sounding beats.
Now, majorly religious song - You're Not Alone, Can't Live Without You, Bird with a Broken Wing, My Everything - with some new topics like Unbelievable's "90s kids nostalgia", Verge and This Isn't The End's "a new life awaits", I Found Love's heavier theme (based on Adam's commentary). Lyrically fun and sugary, not to mention the sick beats which still resembles a bit from "The Midsummer Station", but also a bit of newly made ones. All in all, this album is filled with amazing beats you can dance to, lyrics you can pray to God with, and let's not forget to sing along with this Orchestra. OK, June has been a crazy busy month, all I could think of was studying and studying, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna enjoy some good stuffs. No, I'm not talking about drugs. MOVIES AND MUSIC AND BOOOOKK!!
I just bought Connor's "A Work In Progress" and so far, I can say it really depicts how his life has been so far, and as the title itself suggests "A Work In Progress", it's a book filled with his good old memories, and let's be real, life is "a work in progress" that continues on and on. Really inspirational in a certain way, but I'm not finished with it yet. So, I'll just read it if I got free time.

Yes, that's the amazing book, please ignore my messy desk because I still got lots of lab works, presentation, and essay to work on.

Ahhh... Now to the movies, YES! 2015 has served a LOT of good movies, but let's not forget that there'll also be bad ones. So far, I'm catching up with all the movies I've missed, like; Pocahontas, Lady And The Tramp, Insidious 3, and Poltergeist. Don't expect action movies, I get bored with action movies, and I won't tell why until the time s right *evil laughs*.
Anyhow, Pocahontas has been an amazing movie which has brighten up my vision about the world. It may seem old, but the things they're showing still relates to modern society. Lady And The Tramp, shows me that a person's status doesn't matter, what matters is the heart. Insidious 3 was less scarier than I expected, but obviously, I can tell they're gonna make another sequel. It's obvious guys, cmon... Poltergeist, a supposingly remake of the old Poltergeist in 1982.

I'm honest when I criticize a movie, and Poltergeist is really one good remake, but unnecessary. It's kinda like Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, what they simply do is just make it more 'modern' like, and the same applies for these movies. I wouldn't say it's bad, 'cause I find it entertaining instead of scared. Recommended for not-so horror lovers, 'cause (I promise) you won't be scared with this compared to A Nightmare on Elm Street.

And as for music, I know most of you probably know (or not) about Tori Kelly, but she's just amazing. Her vocals are soft yet effective. It's like the voice of Christina Aguilera minus the powerful shouts and crispiness. Try her out on Spotify, and if you don't have a Spotify, it's OK. This song has "Rugs From Me To You" sense of humor, but with amazingly cute and adorable lyrics, like "When I was a kid... put Mentos in my Diet Coke in the backseat on the bus... The newest thing was Lion King, and I could feel the love"
The song is simply catchy, and brings out all nostalgic moments when you were back in the 90s, and TBH, I simply love the message of the song. Give it a try if you wanna...

Tame Impala, a psychedelic rock band, released the MV for their latest single "'Cause I'm A Man".. and just in case you don't know what psychedelic is, it's a genre of music in where the artists expresses his music by giving out a hallucinogenic images and music. This song, "'Cause I'm A Man" is an amazing song itself.. but before beginning the comments of "What the heck are you trying to say?" Please watch the MV..

Tame Impala's " Cause I'm A Man"

First off, yes it's pretty tripy. A lot of new listeners find this MV extremely tripy especially when it's in a detailed 3D image. Secondly, the music matches the MV so much, the MV just hits off even more emotions. It's like there's already enough "I need to act like the stereotypical man" emotions in the song itself, and the MV just hits that emotions even stronger. I must say, they're one amazing band who deserve to get universal acclaim, but of course, everyone has different tastes in music. So I'll just leave the rest of the judgement to you! How did you think about the MV?

Our "Everything At Once" artist released her latest single, "Blue Skies" around Feb 10. The probable reason why I never knew she updated this was probably because she didn't stand out in the music industry. Still, she's a great singer.
Anyhow, the MV for the single was then released a month after the single's release. What took my interest to listen to this was (maybe?) because of the more electropop music. I mean, her music are usually alternative, and not all are that good, but this single really catches my attention to wait for her upcoming album "The Bright Side". First off, the song isn't that bad, kind of like the slightly weaker version of CRJ's "I Really Like You", but hey, that doesn't mean this won't get universal.
MV-based, she might wanna smile more, 'cause I'll be honest.. She looks way better when she smiles while singing the song in the MV. Creative as the usual Lenka MVs, this one (however) might not be as booming as her previous works. Still, I can't wait for her upcoming album, and I hope it wouldn't be something like "Shadow", 'cause it didn't really had much variation in it.
